Peter Mason
(Drums, Vocals)
Peter Mason started his rock drummer career "during the 60's", in his
home area of New York. Peter was a founding member of "'The Fabulous
Explosives". That band helped make the "Rockaway Garage Band Sound"
famous. Interestingly enough TFE was never considered as the opening
act for the Beatles first US appearance at Shea Stadium in New York.
Peter has been playing drums "ever since I was a tiny boy". In 1992 he
joined Delusions of Grandeur, and brought the band to life with his
driving rhythms.
Asked which he prefers most, his career as a podiatrist, locomotive engineer, railroad
conductor, or drummer, he replied: "If I could do all those at once, it would be
really weird".
Roger Schwartzberg
(Keyboards, Vocals)
Roger has been playing the keyboards and singing since before he was born in Brooklyn, NY. He played
classical, jazz, popular, and other forms of music for “show & tell”, recitals, Bar Mitzvahs, and weddings
throughout Long Island, until he was finally old enough to be a rock star at the tender age of 15. He
was organist and singer in the Fugitive Five – one of the premiere garage bands of that era (Can be
heard on CD - “Artists of Long Island from the 60’s, Volume I”)
Roger moved to Florida in 1974 and has been practicing Internal Medicine in Pinellas County since 1977. “My
life has not been the same since 1990, when I was privileged to be asked by Harvey to be one of the original
members of Delusions of Grandeur.”
The rest is history.
Harvey Landress
(Keyboards, Bass, Vocals)
Harvey grew up on Long Island playing the piano and clarinet.
After college he did a stint in the Peace Corps in Iran in the 1960's, obtained a masters in Political Science,
had a Fulbright-Hayes scholarship to India and obtained a second masters in Social Work.
A 30-year Florida resident, he's a former social work and criminology college professor, and works
as a senior administrator in a large nonprofit social service agency where he heads grant writing and
program development. Harvey has been married for 32 years and has a 26 year old son who repairs brass musical
instruments and makes custom trumpets and trombones.
Harvey was the impetus that created DOG. Sixteen years ago his son, then age 10, was taking rock guitar lessons
from a teacher who put kids into rock bands. When Harvey asked the teacher if he would do the same for adults,
he said, "Sure, just get some band members." And that's how DOG was born.
Andy Hano
(Guitar, Vocals)
Andy was born in NYC. He started playing guitar at age 14, taking lessons at the 92nd Street Y. He attended the Bronx High School of Science and then went on to Northwestern University. He attended med school in Des Moines, Iowa and did his post-graduate training in Detroit, the home of rock and roll. He did not know any of the Motown stars but people say he looks a little like Michael Jackson.
Delusions of Grandeur is actually the only band Andy has ever played in. He saved the best for first! He also enjoys scuba diving and golfing. He hopes to retire from medicine and play guitar in cheap bars for tips.
Jamie Lee
(Lead Vocals)
Jamie comes from a history of entertaining, dated back to her grandparents being the "Sweethearts of Broadway"
back in the Vaudville days in New York City. Her father is the none other than Joey Dee, from Joey Dee and the
Starliters, with a gold record seller, The Pepermint Twist" in the early 60's.
She has been singing since the age of 2, and has never stopped! She is passionate about being in music and dedicates
her strong love as a vocalist to her mother, Lois Lee.
